The Goliath bird-eater Spider is one of the largest spiders in the world. Zoo keepers at the San Diego Zoo are trying to breed the spiders by introducing a female Goliath bird-eating spider to prospective mates. The female spiders sometimes eat the males, so they have to keep a close eye on the tank. The keepers also have to be careful because the spider can release tiny hairs that are irritating to the skin, eyes and mouth. Take a look the video:
